Robert D. Stamm • 1943 - 2002 Robert D. Stamm, 59, 2208 Parkside Drive, Minot, ND, died Monday, September 2, 2002, of natural causes. He was born on April 4, 1943, in Hoboken, NJ, to Hiram and Kay (Dolan) Stamm. He was raised and educated in the Nutley area, and graduated from Nutley High School in 1961. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served four years. He was honorably discharged from the Marines. He moved to Minot where he attended Minot State College. He met and later married Sheila Bertsch on June 22, 1968, in Harvey, ND. They lived in Minot following their marriage. He graduated from Minot State in 1971. He worked as an insurance agent and broker in the Minot area for over 30 years. He was most recently working as branch manager for Jefferson Pilot Securities Company. He was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Minot. Survivors: wife, Sheila, Minot; three children, Marni Stamm and Nate and Rhiannon Sampson, Eugene, WA, Cherie Stamm, Eugene, WA, and Robert Stamm, Jr, Seattle, WA; one sister, Gail Muir and husband Peter, Kinnelon, NJ; nephews, Jonathan Muir and wife Sarah, Greenwich, CT, and Jeff Muir, New York, NY; uncle, Tom Castellane and wife Jeannette, Allentown, PA. His parents and grandparents preceded him in death. Memorial Service: Friday, September 6, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot, ND Recitation of the Holy Rosary: Friday, September 6, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
