Donna Mae Stafford 1935 - 2007 Donna was born October 27, 1935 in Carpio, ND, the daughter of Erwin "Pat" and Ella M. (Halgrimson) Thompson. She attended first grade at Callahan Township, rural Carpio, and then attended school in Carpio, Burlington and Minot High School. She was once married to Robert Stafford and Jim Brown. In 1973, Donna opened Donna's Bar in Sherwood, which she owned and operated until her retirement in 1989. Following retirement she moved to Burlington, where she cared for her parents until their passing. In 2000 She moved into Minot. Donna loved to play cards and read books. She kept in touch with life-long friends. She especially enjoyed the times spent with her children and grandchildren. Those who shared in her life, Daughters, Deborah Jean (Timothy) Hunter and Tracey Renae Bowers; son, Ronald Erwin (Kerry) Stafford, all of Minot; three grandchildren, Ryan R. Stafford, Nickolas Bowers and Toni Bowers; two great-grandchildren, Colton and Kennedi Bowers. Donna was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral: Monday, June 4, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot. Visitation: Monday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
