Nadine Ida Sollid 1921- 2006

Nadine Ida Sollid, 85, 110 17th St. SE, Minot, died Sunday, July 9, 2006 in a Minot hospital.

Nadine was born May 22, 1921 in Norwich, ND, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Northouse) Dickey. She attended country school north of Minot and later attended school in Ruso and Bergen.

She worked for area farmers near Burlington and south of Minot and later worked for Dr. and Mrs. Kermott and Mr. Stevens, a Minot attorney. She was once married to Russell Oja and Clarence Kubler.

Nadine worked at Minot Steam Laundry, Swift and Company and Northern Bottling Company. From 1962 to 1966 she worked at the Elk's Lodge, Eagle's Aerie, American Legion Club and the Riverside Motel.

On June 10, 1967, Nadine married Harding Sollid at Stenkjaer Lutheran Church, Simcoe.

Nadine was a member of Stenkjaer Lutheran Church, Simcoe.

Survivors: Husband, Harding, Minot; daughter, Melodie Brunk, Minot; six grandchildren, Elaine O'Fallon, West Fargo, ND; David Bean and John Kubler, both in Minot; Lori Lee, Elba, AL; Janet Brunk, Neosho, MO, and Nikki Jo Atchley, Jackson, NJ; eight great-grandchildren, Samantha Larson, Minot; Mariah and Devin O'Fallon, both West Fargo, Kaitlynn Lee, Elba, AL; Joseph Brunk, Fredericktown, MO; Robert Flowers, Neosho, MO, and Jadrian and Treyson Atchley, both Jackson, NJ; sister, Nadora Backmeier, Flushing, MI; brothers, Glenn Dickey and Dewaine Dickey, both in Minot; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Nadine was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Kubler; son, Mike Oja; infant daughter, Rita May Kubler; grandson, Allen Long; her parents, Frank and Clara Dickey, and seven brothers.

Funeral: Thursday, July 13, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Stenkjaer Lutheran Church, Simcoe, ND.

Visitation: Wednesday, from noon to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Thursday at 2:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND.
