Debra Slind 1958- 2006 Debra Jo Slind was born on July 28, 1958, the daughter of Arthur M. and Mildred L. (Engelson) Slind in Minot, ND. She was the youngest of four children. She was raised on the family farm which was located in Amundsville Township of McLean County, near Parshall, ND. She received her elementary education in Parshall, as well as Minot. She attended special education classes in Minot until the age of 18. Then she entered residential care at the Developmental Center at Grafton, ND. Debbie looked forward to spending the summer months living on the family farm. She liked riding her bicycle, listening to music, playing with her nieces and nephews, as well as her dog, Sandy. While at Grafton, she had several interests, such as crafts and bowling. She had many caring relationships with the staff at the Developmental Center. She enjoyed frequent visits to Minot to spend time with her parents. She had a special relationship with her sister, Joyce, who provided a nurturing support over the years. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Roseglen, ND. Her loving family includes: mother, Mildred Slind, Minot; sisters, Carol (David) Stockwell, Claremont, NH; and Joyce (Larry) Danger; brother, Ronald (Karla) Slind, Bismarck, ND; nieces and nephews, Mitch Sletten, Steve (Christine) Stockwell, Sara (Ben) Edmund, John (Juli) Stockwell, Jeff (April) Stockwell, Ben (Jennifer) Slind, Josh Slind, and Ashley Slind. Debra was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Slind. Funeral: Saturday, April 15, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at
