Slegel • 1945 - 2002 Sandra Jean "Sandy" Slegel, 57, The Dalles, OR, formerly of Granville, died Thursday, September 5, 2002, in her home of cancer. Sandra was born February 17, 1945 to Svend and Ruth (Ness) Sorensen in Minot, North Dakota. She was raised in the Granville area and attended Rose Hill Elementary School and Granville School. She graduated from Granville High School in 1963. She attended Minot State College and graduated with a degree in Medical Technology. Sandy enjoyed sewing embroidery, quilting, artwork and spending time with David in their garden. Sandy is survived by her husband, David, The Dalles, OR; brothers, Svend, Jr. (Nyla), Minot, Roger (Sally), Arlington, TX; nephews, Brady (Beth) Sorensen, and Kelly Sorensen, all Minot, Doug and Greg Shark of Texas, nieces, Amanda (Gerald) Rathbun, Minot, Lindsay Sorensen, Texas, Christina Sorensen, Minot; great nephew, Andrew Rathbun, Minot; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and several uncles and aunts. Memorial Service: Tuesday, September 10, 2002, at 3:30 p.m., at First Lutheran Church, Granville, ND. There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register
