Jack E. Shulins 1924- 2006

Jack E. Shulins, 81, Minot, formerly of Bottineau, died Wednesday, May 31, 2006 in a Minot hospital.

Jack was born October 1, 1924 in San Diego, CA. He was raised and educated in San Diego. On April 18, 1942 he entered the United States Navy and served during World War II. He served on the USS Nevada and the USS Burns. He was honorably discharged on September 27, 1945.

In 1948 he moved to North Dakota and lived in numerous communities. He married Naomi. She died in 1992.

Jack worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone for numerous years until his retirement.

Survivors: His very special friend, Lila Marsden, Minot; stepson, John (Marty) Sawyer, Blue Earth, MN; step-grandchildren, Julie (Greg) Nellermoe, Fargo; Jim (Julie) Sawyer, Minneapolis, MN and Mark (Liz) Sawyer, Colorado; step great-grandchildren, Nathan, Shea, Hannah and Olivia.

Memorial Service: Monday, June 5, 2006 at 2:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register Monday from 9:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
