John Seright 1926 - 2011 John Wilson Seright was born on July 10, 1926, a son of John L. and Rena (Proffit) Seright, on the family farm in Riga Township. He was raised and educated in the Granville area, attending Riga and Granville High School. On July 7, 1945, John was united in marriage to Alice C. Kramer. Following their marriage, they lived on the Seright Ranch in Riga Township, McHenry County, 7 miles East of Granville for 40 years. John was a lifelong rancher and also was a rural mail carrier for Upham and Granville. He also worked at the Minot Air Force Base for Peter Kewitt and sons and for Sherman Day with pre-fab housing projects. Alice died May 19, 1994. Following her death, John continued to live in Granville. John was a member of the Hope Congregational Church, Granville, ND and the McHenry County Saddle Club. John is survived by: Children: Patty Pretzer and her husband Arlo, Mike Seright and his wife Donna, Steve Seright and his wife Teresa, Cathy Bailey and her husband Jim, Mona Kunkel and her husband Darrell, Danny Seright and his wife Deb, Jeanne Gullekson and her husband Justin; eighteen grandchildren: five bonus grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren: Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
