Lois O. Seemann 1922 - 2005 Lois Seemann, 82, Minot, died Saturday, January 8, 2005 in a Minot Nursing home. Lois O. Seemann was born April 24, 1922 in Eckman, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Benjamin "Bennie" and Myrtle Norsby. Lois graduated from Glenburn High School in 1939 and went on to attend the University of North Dakota and Minot State Teachers College, where she received her teaching certificate in 1942. She was a member of the Delta Epsilon Phi Sorority. Lois moved to Turtle Lake, ND to begin teaching and later spent time teaching in Hermiston, Oregon. She was married on July 18, 1947 to Willis Seemann. Lois belonged to First Lutheran Church of Minot where she was on the Deaconess Board, a member of Circle, and taught Sunday School. Lois enjoyed traveling, designing and sewing clothes, crafts, and spending time with her family at their Garrison cabin. Lois is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister (Anita Wold), and her daughter-in-law (Jeannie Seemann). Lois is survived by her son Neil "Woody", his children Troy and Shantel; daughter Janice Amsel (Steve) and their sons Ben and Adam; daughter Mary Jo (Jim Liles) their children Nathan and Abby; and son Brian. She is also survived by her sister Eleanor Williamson, of Minot, and brother Gerald (Marlys) Norsby, of Jacksonville, NC.
