Geneva Scott

I am Geneva Scott, born in Fair Hill Mississippi, later moved to Chicago where I spent the best of my years. At the age of 4, I was moved by some power beyond my knowledge. I went out to pray, I didn't have the knowledge to know what to ask for but listening to my mother's songs and prayers, "I love Jesus," my mother called me to comb my hair. She started singing this song, an old song they used to sing "Who is that yonder moving in the wind, look like Jesus moving sin," that was the prettiest song I ever heard. I wished she would sing it forever. I was weighted down with a heavy load. I was so troubled deep down in my heart; it hurt. I fell in something like a state of sleep, but I could hear my mother singing that song. I started to cry, my weight fell off, I was light. I was happy jumping and shouting everything was changed, the birds was singing, the sun was shinning so beautiful I thought I could fly.

They used to have old time revival meetings the people singing and praying. In my bosom, felt like a fire burning. I turn this way and that. Oh if I had a gone I could have experienced it for the next couple of days. I am sick and all chocked up because I did not follow through.

I am Geneva Scott I just wanted to tell of some experiences of me in the Spirit.
