Mary H. Schultz • 1935 - 2008 Mary was born September 23, 1935 in Minot, ND the daughter of Joseph and Julie (Zitka) Pekos. She was raised on the family farm near Makoti, ND and attended country school in that area. On July 29, 1960 Mary married Herbert R. Schultz. Following their marriage they made their home in Minot. Herbert passed away in 1983. Mary enjoyed gardening, yard work, polka dancing and attending auctions. Those who shared in her life, Daughter, Sheila, Minot; three grandchildren, Tammy (Rob), Keri (Kit) and Paul; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Bakken, Minot and Julie Pekos, Minneapolis, MN; several nieces and nephews survive. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Schultz; her parents; brother, Carl Pekos and son-in-law, Dorian "Ole" Hoiland. Funeral: Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, ND. Visitation: Wednesday (today) from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND, and Thursday one hour prior to service at the church. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
