Serrina Rose Schnabel • 1991 - 2009 Serrina Rose Schnabel was born March 30, 1991, a daughter of Gary Schnabel and Paula (Kinn) Anderson in Minot, ND. She was raised on a farm near Upham and attended Upham Elementary School through the third grade. She completed her grade school years in Velva. Serrina then moved with her dad and step mom, to Kalispell, Montana, where she spent her junior high school years. She returned to Velva to live with her mom and step dad and attended Sawyer High School, where she would have been a senior and graduated with the Sawyer Class of 2010. During her time at Sawyer High School she was active in many clubs and school activities. She was currently working as a housekeeper at the Sleep Inn in Minot. She loved music, and was recently able to attend the Taylor Swift concert this year at the ND State Fair. She enjoyed watching movies and taking pictures. Serrina was as comfortable taking pictures as she was posing for the camera. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends, boyfriend, and family. Every time Serrina walked into a room, she lit it up. She loved people and had compassion for everyone around her. Serrina will long be remembered for her beautiful smile and her never-ending hugs. Serrina loved life and touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will be dearly missed. Her loving family includes: mother, Paula (Dean) Anderson, Velva, ND; father, Gary (Tam) Schnabel, Upham, ND; brothers and sisters, Cody (Tasha) Schnabel, Bismarck, Jessica, Stacy, Jeremy, Steven (Rachelle) and Justin Kornkven; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Joan Kinn, Coleharbor, ND; maternal grandmother, Norma Anderson, Minot; paternal grandparents, Padgie and Jerry Borstad, Kalispell, MT, paternal great grandmother, Theresa Koppang, Checotak, OK, and a special niece, KayCee Kornkven; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a very special boyfriend, Michael Edwards. Serrina was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Marvin and Arlene Schnabel; maternal great grandparents, Ole and Lillian Kinn and Edwin and Harda Brevig; and paternal great grandfather, Morris Koppang. Funeral: Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at

in a Minot hospital from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle
accident near Donnybrook, ND.
