Donald Schmelz • 1947- 2011 Donald Charles Schmelz was born on October 14, 1947, a son of Joseph and Pearl (Kimball) Schmelz in Noonan, ND. He was raised and educated in the Flaxton area, graduating from Flaxton High School in 1966. On November 22, 1967, Donald enlisted into the United States Army. He proudly served his country, until his honorable discharge on December 20, 1968. Following his discharge, Donald began working form Eagle Operating on December 17, 1969. He held various positions within the company, most recently he was Production Manager. Donald is survived by: Donald was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings Visitation: Thursday, January 13, 2010 one hour prior to service time at the church. Funeral Service: Thursday, January 13, 2010 at 11 am at Christ Lutheran Church, Lignite, ND Burial: Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Noonan, ND at a later date in the spring of 2011. Officiant: Rev.
