Patricia Schilken 1920 - 2005

Patricia Schilken, 85, Minot, died Thursday, March 24, 2005 in a Minot Hospital.

Patricia was born February 15, 1920 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, the daughter of Patrick and Alvina (Washa) Knox. She was raised and educated in Chaska, MN.

She married Robert Schilken on November 19, 1941, in Minneapolis, MN. They moved to Kenmare, ND in 1947. In 1953, they came to Minot where they made their home. Robert died on October 25, 1995.

Patricia was a wonderful mother to her six children, and in later years, enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom affectionately referred to her as "Gabby."

Patricia was a member of the St. Leo's Catholic Church for many years, where she was active in the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

Daughters: Gayle (Dick) Vogel, Chanhassen, MN; Kathie (George) Lach, Minot: Jeani (Jim) Geer, Minot: Son-in-law: Bo Miller, Marion, IA: Brothers: John (Dorothy) Knox, Richfield, MN: Emmett (Marie) Knox, Cody, WY: Sister: Vivian Gehl, Brownsville, TX: 19 grandchildren: David (Amy) Vogel, Elizabeth Vogel, Therese Vogel, Juli (Shawn) Steele, Jamie (Dana) Lach, Trini (Steve) Lipp, John (Stephanie) Lach, Erin (Ryan) Hertz, Andrew (Kim) Lach, Tony (Noni) Geer, Tiffany Geer, Josh Geer, Matt Schilken, Kim Schilken, Tyler Miller, Jessica Miller, Chris Schilken, Cameron Schilken, Danielle Schilken.17 great-grandchildren: Jason & Eric Steele, Breken & Braden Lach, Madelyn, Max & Murphy Lipp, Mackenzie, Maya & Noah Lach, Tatum & Taylee Hertz, Jordyn, Jacy & Tia Geer, Madison Geer, Izabella Baker. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert, daughter, Patti Miller, her parents, and a brother Roger Knox.

Mass Of Christian Burial: Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 10:30 at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot. ND

Vigil Prayer Service: Monday, March 28 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Chapel, Minot.

Visitation: Monday, March 28, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
