Steve Schiff, 51, 213 1st Ave SE, Surrey, ND, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 in a Minot hospital, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Steve was born on March 10, 1956, the son of Daniel W. and Doris (Mitchell) Schiff in Minot, ND. He was reared and educated in Tioga, moving to Minot in 1970.

On November 30, 1973, he enlisted into the United States Navy, where he served as a Marine Mechanic. He was honorably discharged on March 24, 1975.

On October 27, 1978, he was united in marriage to Kathy Prescott in Minot. The couple made their home in Minot, where Steve worked for various companies as a truck driver. Including the State Highway Department, Coal Creek Plant, and most recently for Sundre Gravel.

Steve enjoyed working on his Heritage Softtail, leather craft, camping, boating, fishing and spending time with his three grandchildren. Every year he would donate money to the Children's Cancer Society.

He was a member of the ABATE motorcycle club. The last several years Steve and Kathy would attend the Sturgis Motorcycle rally in Sturgis, SD.

Steve is survived by: Wife, Kathy, Surrey, ND; Children: William Timmreck, Minot, Priscilla (Stephen) Demorest, Carpio, ND, Susan Timmreck, Minot. Three grandchildren: Stephanie, Brian and Katie. Brother, Daniel (Darla) Schiff, Sidney, MT; Sister, Jacqueline (Greg) Schatz, Minot;
Mother, Doris Schiff, Minot, Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Daniel W. Schiff, grandparents, son-in-law Douglas Roehm and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, as cremation has taken place but friends may sign a register book on Sunday, from noon until 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Vigil Prayer Service: Sunday, May 13, 2007 at 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot

Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, May 14, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo's Roman Catholic Church, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
