Harold M. Schell, 59, Minot, died Thursday, February 14, 2008 in a Minot hospital.

Harold was born September 25, 1948 in Bottineau, ND, the son of Melvin and Evelyn (Sampson) Schell. Harold was raised in various towns in North Dakota and Montana. He worked several years on Kenny Young's farm near Antler, ND. He graduated from Granville High School in 1968.

Harold joined the United States Navy in 1970 and received a medical discharge. He returned to North Dakota and made his home in Minot. He worked for Kenny Huwe
in Minot, moving houses and buildings from 1972 until 1998.

Harold was a very kind and giving person. He loved his family and he loved having company. He enjoyed playing cards and watching westerns. He will be missed by many.

Those who shared in his life, Mother, Evelyn Schell, Minot; fiancé, Arvadell "Pat" Homann, Minot; brothers, Glenn (Sandy) Schell, Minot, Gary Schell, Rockport, TX, and Larry Schell, Minot; niece, Correna Haney, Pierz, MN; nephew, Chad Schell, Colorado Springs, CO; Harold's fiancé's children and grandchildren whom he considered his own, Dawn (Curt) Haberlock and Todd Adams; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooke, Kelsey, Sierra and Laramy.

Harold was preceded in death by his father, Melvin; sisters, Gladys Haney, and Carolyn Schell; brother-in-law, Roger Haney, and nephew, Michael Haney.

Funeral: Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Visitation: Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Burial: In the spring at Bloomfield Cemetery, Upham, ND.

Officiant: Rev. Mary Lou Aune, Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot
