Seth Andrew Schatz, 19, 1620 65th St. NW, Minot, died Friday, October 14, 2005, in his home.

Seth was born August 21, 1986 in Minot, ND, the son of Kurt and Donna (Madsen) Schatz. He was raised in Minot and attended Perkett Elementary, Jim Hill Middle School and Minot High School where he graduated in 2005. Seth enjoyed playing basketball up through his sophomore year. He also loved track and was a high jumper for the Magicians. He placed 8th at the 2004 State Meet and 3rd at the 2005 State Meet.

Seth was very social and loved visiting with everyone. He was always the first to break the ice in a conversation. Even though he gave you a hard time, you still knew he cared.

Seth enjoyed working with his hands and liked to keep busy. He loved auto body and bought his own Toyota 4-runner and dirt bike. He was very mechanically inclined, and fixed them on his own.

The last two years, Seth was able to follow in his dad's footsteps and take over the enduro car. In his first enduro at Motor Magic in 2004, he placed 9th. In 2005, he drove at the North Dakota State Fair Enduro, although he didn't finish, he always had a great time. When he wasn't racing himself, you would find him in the pits at the Nodak Speedway helping friends with their cars.

Seth's greatest love was his family and friends and the times he got to spend with them. He loved to go hunting with his dad, his three brothers, his uncles, and Calvin. He was so happy to have gotten the chance to spend a day pheasant hunting last weekend with his brothers and the new puppy.

Seth will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but everyone will remember his big smile and his friendly and outgoing personality.
