Beverly Schalesky 1929 - 2007 Beverly Iris Rhodes was born October 8, 1929, the daughter of Roscoe and Emma (Halley) Rhodes in Rugby, ND. She was raised and educated in Bantry, ND, and attended Bantry Country School. At the age of fourteen, she moved to Minot with her mother and attended Minot High School. Beverly married Paul Schalesky November 16, 1949, in Minot. They lived in various cities across North Dakota due to Paul's oil field jobs. In 1959, they made their home in Sawyer. Together they raised their two daughters and three sons. Paul retired in 1987. Following Paul's retirement, they enjoyed traveling to spend time with their family. They moved back to Minot in 1992, where they had continued to reside since. In February of 2005, Bev entered Trinity Homes in Minot. Bev was a member of the Sawyer Senior Citizens, and the Homemakers Club, both of Sawyer. She and Paul had attended the Calvary Alliance Church in Minot. She was an artist and an avid Brooklyn Dodgers and LA Dodgers Baseball fan. She enjoyed reading and following her children's, grandchildren's, and great-grandchildren's sporting events. Surviving family includes: husband of 57 years, Paul, Minot; daughters, Sherry (Gary) Miller, Sawyer, ND, and Karin (Clay) Trogdon, Asheboro, NC; sons, Dana (Deb) Schalesky, Garden City, KS, Marty (Carol) Schalesky, Minot, and Mark (Joan) Schalesky, Asheboro, NC; six grandchildren, Paula (Roger) Kraft, Kammy Brothers, Dion (Brenda) Miller, Deena (Chris) Trogdon, Daryn (Kristie) Trogdon, and Travis (Karen) Schalesky; five step grandchildren, Ron, Kenny, Katharyn, Dana, and Jared; ten great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one step great great-grandson; sister, Twyla (Dennis) Schalesky, Minot; brother, Gary (Bea) Rhodes, Minot; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; great-grandson, Travis Mark Schalesky, Jr., three infant sisters; brother, Chester Rhodes; sisters, Frances Carr, Olive Fulton, and Jean Myers.
