Veronica Sauer • 1909 - 2006 Veronica Sauer, 96, Minot, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006, in a Minot foster care home. She was born on October 4, 1909, on the family farm near Foxholm, ND, the daughter of William and Katherine (Leucken) Bock. She was reared and educated in Foxholm. Veronica married Fred William Sauer on June 19, 1928, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Foxholm. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Foxholm area and later moved into Foxholm, where they operated the Standard Oil Gas Station there until the early 90's. Veronica also worked at the Foxholm Post Office for many years. The couple moved to Minot in January of 1993. Fred died January 17, 1993. Veronica continued to live in Minot. Survivors: grandchildren, Linda Erber, Glenburn, Denise Linsey, Minot, Eugene Sauer, Minot, Randy Sauer, Gold Canyon, AZ, Joan Peterson, Nampa, ID; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Paul, Tennele, Cody, Ashley, Shawn and David; great-great-grandchildren, Courtney Ahmann; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Frederick Sauer, Jr., brothers, Anslem, John, Ben, Huber, Henry, Patrick and William Bock; sisters, Lena and Katherine. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date at Thomson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel in Minot. To sign the online guest register
