Paul Satterlund • 1953 - 2008 Paul S. Satterlund was born July 6, 1953, a son of Marvin and Margery (Triplett) Satterlund in Minot, ND. He was raised on a farm near Carpio, ND, and educated at the Carpio Public School. He graduated from Carpio High School in 1971. Following his high school graduation, he attended one year at the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND. Paul married Diane Danielson January 6, 1973, at Carpio Lutheran Church in Carpio. From this union, three children were born, Leslie, Jaclyn, and Robert. They were later divorced. He farmed and ranched north of Carpio with his father until ill health forced him to retire. Paul was a member of Carpio Lutheran Church, Carpio. He enjoyed hunting mule deer in the badlands of North Dakota. He also enjoyed walleye fishing at Lake Darling. He was an avid reader, who loved books, and enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He especially enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. Surviving family includes: daughters, Leslie Satterlund (Bruce Gustafson), West Fargo, ND, and Jaclyn (Kraig) Klebe, Minot; son, Robert Satterlund (Rhonda Raap), Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Jacob and Samantha Gustafson, and Megan and Tripp Klebe; parents, Marvin and Margery "Pearl" Satterlund, rural Carpio, ND. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Paul was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clara and Victor Satterlund, maternal grandparents, Hazle and Guy Triplett, and numerous aunts and uncles.
