James R. Sallee 1959 - 2002 James R. Sallee, 42, rural Granville, ND, died Monday, April 8, 2002, in a Minot medical center. He was born in Moorhead, MN, on February 1, 1959, the son of William "Bill" and Zora (Rhodes) Sallee. He was raised and educated in Granville and graduated from Granville High School in 1977. He attended Devils Lake Community College from 1977 to 1979, where he graduated with an associate's degree in carpentry. He worked on construction jobs in Carrington, ND for two years, and for Amerada-Hess Newburg station, in pipeline maintenance until 1985. He moved to Missouri, and worked in construction from 1985 to 1999. He returned to Granville, ND, and worked for Gotvaslee Farms, rural Granville, until the time of his death. He married Monica Mitchell on June 1, 2001, in Minot. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Granville. Jim's hobbies included hunting, fishing, farming, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and would help anyone if they needed something done. Survivors: wife, Monica; son, William; brother, John Sallee, all of Granville; numerous cousins and other relatives also survive. His parents, aunt, Lucille Rhodes, and uncles Frank and Robert Rhodes, preceded him in death. Funeral: Saturday, April 13, 2002, 11:00 a.m., at First Lutheran Church in Granville, ND.
