Sharon Sahli 1941 - 2004

Sharon Sahli, 62, 1928 1st Ave. SW, Minot, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004 in a Minot Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer.

Sharon was born December 29, 1941 in Long Beach, CA the daughter of Arthur and Doris (Morgans) Borden. As a young girl, she moved to Frederick, SD. She was raised and educated in the Frederick area, graduating from Frederick High School in 1959. Following graduation, she attended Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD, graduating in 1963, with an English and Business Degree.

On June 8, 1963, Sharon married Jerry Sahli in Aberdeen, SD. After their marriage, the couple lived a short time in Dickinson and Fargo, before moving to Minot on May 22, 1968. In 1981, Sharon began working part time as an inspector with the U.S Customs located at the Minot International Airport, where she was employed at the time of her death.

Sharon was very active in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Minot, where she was a member of the St. Catherine Guild of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, where she served as president. She was very active in the Minot Catholic Schools, receiving the "R" award for her many activities.

Sharon is survived by: her husband of 41 years, Jerry; Sons: Steve and his girlfriend Julie Curb, Minneapolis, MN: Dave, St. Paul, MN; Daughter: Michele "Shelly" and her husband, Brian Farnsworth, San Francisco, CA ; Sisters: Vickie Borden, Denver, CO; Brothers: Arthur "Art" and his wife, Karen Borden and their 2 sons, Brian and Brad , Sioux Falls, SD

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Art and Doris, and sister, Sally Borden

Visitation: Thursday, October 28, 2004 from 11:00 to 7:00 at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Recitation of the Holy Rosary: Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 7:00 the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel

Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, October 29, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
