Anne Rosalia Ryan of Minot passed away Thursday, October 8 in her home. She was 90.

Anne was born April 21, 1919 in Lapeer County, Michigan. She was the youngest daughter of John and Anna Halpin.  Anne completed her education at Flint School of Business before going to work at AC Delco as an Administrative Assistant.

Anne was happily married for 64 years to the love of her life - James Ryan. After James returned from serving in World War II, opportunities with General Motors required them to move across the upper Midwest before the family settled in Grand Forks, ND in 1958.  After 15 years in Grand Forks, Jim and Anne purchased the Chevrolet dealership in Minot, ND in 1973.

Nothing brought more joy to Anne than her loving and ever-present family.   She took particular delight in the birth of each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Their affiliation with Chevrolet allowed them to visit around the globe, with excursions to China, Australia, Ireland, Egypt, and Italy as well as extensive traveling throughout the United States.  They visited the Cayman Islands annually for 12 years. Later in life, she and Jim split their time between North Dakota and Sarasota, FL.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents, two sisters Helen and Mary, and her son-in-law Everett Boyle. She is survived by her five daughters, Mary (Kenneth) Keefner, of Omaha, NE; Patricia (Lloyd) Steinmetz, of Fargo; Kathleen (Michael) Gaddie, of Minot; Joanne Boyle, of Minot; and Jean (John) Niemackl, of Fargo; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot at 11:00 AM. A prayer service will be held at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home at 5:00 Monday, October 12. Visitation for the general public will extend until 7:00 PM.
