Jack Barton Russell, 77, Minot, died Sunday, January 20, 2008, in his home of natural causes.

Jack was born on February 28, 1930, in Detroit, MI, the son of George and Margaret (Morris) Russell. He was reared and educated in Detroit.

Jack married Louise Hill on November 6, 1965. The couple lived in Detroit and had three children, Scotty, Michael and Tammy. Jack worked various jobs until he started driving truck for Express Freight Lines and A&P. Jack retired in 1993 and after his retirement he worked hauling motorcycles and ATV's. Jack and Louise moved to Minot in 2004.

Jack loved to play poker with his kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed tinkering with lawnmowers, deer hunting, dogs and playing pool. Jack Russell Color photo

Survivors: wife, Louise, Minot; sons, Scotty Russell, Dearborn Heights, MI and Michael Russell, Minot; daughter, Tammy Russell, Minot; 12 grandchildren, Deja, Shelby, Tiara, Chelsea, Wesley, McClane, Monique, Lilly, Madison, Jayden, Nevaeh and Gracie; brothers, Robert Russell, Flat Rock, MI and Bruce Russell, Las Vegas, NV; sister, Jean Kaczmarczyk, White Lake, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bill and sisters, Wilma, Dorothy, Betty and Barbara.

Funeral Service: Thursday, January 24, 2008, 2 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot

Visitation: Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 10 a.m. until service time at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
