Jessie Viola Rudolph, 95, Minot, ND, died Monday, May 21, 2007, in a Minot nursing home.

Jessie was born on July 4, 1911, in Norwich, ND, the daughter of Edwin and Ora (Payne) Rhine. She graduated from Rugby High School in 1934. After graduation, she attended Minot Teachers College where she earned her teaching certificate. Jessie went on to teach at various schools in the Rugby area.

On April 9, 1938, Jessie was united in marriage to Charles Rudolph. The couple made their home in Portal, ND. They also lived in Landa, ND, Gardena, ND and Bantry, ND.

Jessie was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Portal and other social clubs in the community. Charles died on January 26, 1983. Jessie moved to Minot in 1998 and later entered Trinity Homes.

Survivors: sons, Robert (Marilyn) Rudolph, Layton, UT, and Michael (Kathleen) Rudolph, Garrison, ND; daughters, Cheryl (Dale) Kroeplin, Highmore, SD and Judy (Don) Nahler, Aurora, CO; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, James Rhine, Tacoma, WA and one half-brother, Dennis Naumann, Rugby, ND.

Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, two sisters, Laura Nelson and Glenna Ohlien, one half-sister, Patricia Peterson, five brothers, Ronald, Gene, Delbert and Orville Rhine and one half-brother, Gerald Naumann.

Funeral Service: Thursday, May 24, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Minot.

Visitation will be an hour and a half before the service at the church.

Burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Persilla Watts Cemetery, Rugby, ND.
