Maurice Roy • 1932 - 2002 Maurice Cyril Roy, 70, Flaxton, ND, died Friday in a Kenmare hospital. He was born January 11, 1932 in Lewiston, Maine to Adelard and Antonina (Gauthier) Roy. He was reared and educated in Lewiston and attended the Holy Family School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his discharge he worked as a shoemaker for Sebego Moccasin for 20 years and later as a contractor/carpenter for the remaining years of his life. Survivors: daughter, Elaine Roy Eaton, Bass Harbor, ME; grandchildren, Andrea Eaton and Eric Eaton, both of Bass Harbor, ME; brothers and sisters, Joe R.A. Roy, Simmone Sirois, Yvonne Bisson, Rejeanne Sirois, Antoinette Arel, Alphee Roy, Real Roy, Cecile Roy and Fernand Roy, all of Lewiston, ME and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Juliette LaVasseur, Arthur Roy and Laurier Roy. A memorial service is being planned in Lewiston, ME for later this spring. |
