Edna Rollman 1913 - 2010 Edna Rosenberger was born May 10, 1913, a daughter of John D. and Lizzie (Hunsicher) Rosenberger, in Granville, ND. She was raised and educated in Granville, graduating from Granville High School in 1930. She then attended Minot State Teachers College where she received her Standard Teaching Certificate and then a B.A. degree in Education in 1966. She began her teaching career in area country schools. She had also taught in Norwich and Granville, retiring after 28 years. Edna married Gordon Rollman January 15, 1939, in Pennsylvania. They made their home on the Rosenberger family farm near Granville. In 1941, they purchased a farm located in Egg Creek Township of McHenry County, northeast of Granville. They retired from farming and in 2004 moved into Granville. She was a member of Congregational United Church of Christ and its Women’s Society, the Granville Senior Citizens, and the Blanche M. Nelson Study Club, all of Granville. She was also a former 4-H leader and a member of the Alfalfameade Homemakers Club. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and bird watching. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She kept a lively correspondence with many great-grandchildren often relating stories for school projects.
