Robinson 1918 - 2003 Lincoln "Link" Robinson, 85, 1001 69th St. NW, longtime Minot businessman died Tuesday, September 16, 2003, at his home. He was born February 12, 1918, in Billings, MT, the son of Rolly and Florence (Benze) Robinson. He entered the United States Army on May 15, 1942, serving during World War II. He was honorably discharged on October 1st, 1947. . He married Mary Geltel on November 25, 1950, in Minot, ND. In 1955, Lincoln and Mary opened the Speedway just west of Minot. They owned and operated the restaurant until 1982, when they retired. Lincoln was an avid golfer and was a Boy Scout Troop Leader for a number of years. He was a member or Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot and a lifetime member of the Minot VFW, William G. Carroll Post #26. Survivors: wife, Mary, rural Minot; brothers, Duane Robinson, Lisbon, ND, and Kenny Robinson, Kent, WA; sister, Lorraine Streeper, Sawyer, ND; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. His parents and his sister, Loretta Steele, preceded him in death. Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, September 20, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Visitation: Friday, September 19, 2003 from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial at 1 p.m. at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
