Tillie Ringdahl 1927 - 2006 Tillie was born January 4, 1927, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Minot, the youngest of nine children born to Joseph and Rose Gieser. She was raised and attended school in Minot where she worked as a nursing assistant at St. Joseph's Hospital as a young woman until her marriage to Clayton Fjeld in August 1946. They had four daughters. They moved to Noonan in 1955. She later married Edwin Ringdahl in 1976. They lived on the Ringdahl farm, wintering in Texas until moving to Minot in 1994 to be closer to family and friends. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Christ Lutheran Church in Minot. During her life she loved to collect angels and always wore one on her shoulder. She was also an avid collector of coins and John Wayne memorabilia. She took special joy in baking for the Holiday Season. She loved to read, garden, work on crafts and travel until her ill health kept her closer to home. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church, Minot, and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Noonan, ND. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of the Concerned Health Care Consumers. Survivors: Husband, Edwin, Minot; daughters, Kathy (John) Bannister, Minot, Linda (Terry) Nygaard, Jamestown, ND, Gloria Berg, Minot, and Julie Marquardt, Plymouth, WI; eight grandchildren, Susan, Christopher, Anthony, Adam, Anna, Jennifer, Alexis and Aaron; three great-grandchildren, Garret, Clayton and Benjamin; sisters-in-law, Irene Gieser and Gladys Gieser, both in Minot; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors survive. Tillie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose; sisters, Margaret Richeson, Monica Undlin, and infant sister, Susan Gieser; brothers, Max, Frank, Sam, Martin and Adam Gieser; and one infant granddaughter, Laura. Funeral: Friday, December 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot, ND. Visitation: Thursday (today) from noon to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
