Myrtle Riffey 1920- 2010 Myrtle C. Lee was born June 25, 1920, a daughter of Thomas and Sena (Kvomme) Lee, on the family farm in Sergius Township of Bottineau County, near Westhope, ND. She was raised on the family farm and attended a rural school in the area. She graduated from high school in 1938. Myrtle was united in marriage to Clarence E. Riffey on January 6, 1946. They made their home in Minot, where together they raised their children. She worked at J.C. Penney on occasion. Myrtle was confirmed at Mouse River Lutheran Church in Bottineau County, and later transferred her membership to Christ Lutheran Church in Minot. Myrtle was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed craft work. She loved working with her plants and flowers. Her loving family includes: husband of 64 years, Clarence, Minot; sons, Kenneth W. Malchose, Minot, Robert A. Riffey, Burlington, and Ronald E. (Candy) Riffey, Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Sue Lynn Gunderson, Todd, Donald, and Kelly Malchose; and Travis and Kurtis Riffey; several great-grandchildren; sister, Signa McLachlan, Fargo; sisters-in-law, Lois Lee, Minot, and Nina Lee, Minot; and numerous nieces and nephews.
