Bruce B. Rieke 1951 - 2003 Bruce B. Rieke, 52, 4501 10th St NE, Minot, died Thursday, November 6, 2003, at a Minot medical center. He was born March 13, 1951, in Sleepy Eye, MN, the son of Lester and Lucille (Lammers) Rieke. He was reared and educated in Morgan, MN, and graduated from Morgan High School. After graduation, Bruce entered the United States Air Force and served with Aircraft Avionics at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; Lowery Air Force Base, Colorado; Dover Air Force Base, Delaware; Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota; Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho; Spangdahlem Air Force Base, Germany and back to Minot Air Force Base where he retired after 23 years of service. He also served in Operation Desert Storm. After his retirement he worked for the City of Minot at the General Airport Aviation Refueling Office and was currently employed there at the time of his death. He married Eileen Routledge on July 17, 1976 in Glenburn, ND. Bruce was a Jack-of-all-trades and could fix anything. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building model airplanes and working on the family farm. He was always there for his family and friends and will be greatly missed and always loved by those who knew him. Survivors: wife, Eileen Routledge Rieke; sons, Dustin Rieke and his fiancée, Patsy Wendland, and Casey Rieke; daughter, Misti Rieke all of Minot and her special friend, Weston Mincer, Bismarck, ND; mother, Lucille Lammers Rieke Runck, Fairfax, MN; sisters, Linda (Dan) Turbes, Fairfax, Rebecca (Doug) Sell, Morgan, MN, Katherine (Glenn) Seifert, Morgan; brothers, Alan Rieke, Minneapolis, MN, and Michael (Brenda) Rieke, Morgan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Merle and Delores Routledge, Lansford, ND; brother-in-laws, Paul (Lyla) Routledge, Minot, Wayne (Kjersti) Routledge, West Fargo, ND, Merlin (Loretta) Routledge, Minot and Loren (Sue) Routledge, Minot; sister-in-law, Darlene (Jere) Varberg, Minot, numerous nieces and nephews. His father, Lester Rieke and his grandparents preceded him in death. Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at 1 p.m. at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Glenburn. Visitation: Monday, November 10, 2003 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Prayer Service: Monday at 7 p.m. at the Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
