Lloyd H. Renfandt • 1930 - 2005 Lloyd H. Renfandt, 75, 719 19th Ave. SW, Minot, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, in his home. Lloyd was born January 14, 1930, on the family farm near Sawyer, ND, the son of Edward and Freda (Bick) Renfandt. He was raised and educated in Sawyer and attended Sawyer High School. On January 16, 1954 Lloyd married Elizabeth "Betty" Johnson in Minot. They made their home in Minot where he worked for Bridgeman Creamery, Hart Motors and was self employed as a truck driver for many years. Lloyd was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, and a former member of the Eagle's Aerie, the Moose Lodge and the Minot Merry Mixers Square Dance Club and Souris Valley Dancers. Lloyd enjoyed camping. Survivors: Wife of 51 years, Betty, Minot; son, Jerry Renfandt and his wife Susan and their son, Quinn, Minot; daughter, Joan Zander and her husband Chuck, and their children, Cecily and Derek, Berthoud, CO; brother, Reuben (Janice) Renfandt, Sawyer; sister, Bernice (Daniel) Pozarnsky, Benedict; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Lloyd was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Renfandt; his parents and grandparents. Funeral: Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Visitation and vigil prayer service: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register Friday, July 22, 2005, from noon to 7:00 p.m., with the vigil prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. MEMORIALS ARE PREFERRED TO THE AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION OR TO THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION. |
