Ted Rendahl 1997 - 2003 Ted Rendahl, 96, Minot, died Thursday, November 27, 2003 in the Kenmare Hospital. Ted was born and raised on a ranch south of Benedict, ND, on November 23, 1907, to Tom and Betsy (Overby) Rendahl. He was educated in rural Benedict and attended an agricultural school in Mandan for a time. He married Lenore Thompson, on April 4, 1935 in Max, ND. They moved to Minot in 1949, where he started and operated Rendahl Trucking Service, which was active in until the late 1980's. He hauled steel and scrap iron for Porter Brothers in Minot, as well as cattle and grain. He was a life long North Dakota resident with the exception of spending winters in Las Vegas in his later years. His wife, Lenore, died in May of 1989 after 54 years of marriage. Ted was a long time member of Bethany Lutheran Church of Minot. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie and the Loyal Order of Moose, both of Minot. Survivors: daughters, Audrey (Roger) Scofield, Williston, ND and Ardis (Ervin) Hoffer, Las Vegas, NV; sister, Josephine Lange, Mount Vernon, WA; seven grandchildren, Kevin Scofield, Carol Victorino, Penny Conroy, Tammy Card, Doris Knight, Bonnie Brinkley and Nancy Tucker; 20 great grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother-in-law, Dan Flath; sisters-in-law, Blanche Rendahl and Hazel Zick. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers, Ole, Hans, Elmer and Alfred. Memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.
