Palmer Regstad 1909 - 2004

Palmer Regstad, 95, 124 18th St. SE, Minot, died Sunday in a Minot nursing home.

He was born February 25, 1909, on the family homestead in Regstad Township, McHenry County, the son of Peter N. and Mathilda (Hanson) Regstad. He was reared and educated in Regstad Township. He helped on the farmed and hauled grain and gravel for a time. He entered the United States Army and served during World War II. Upon his discharge he farmed for a few years and later moved to Minot. Palmer worked construction for several different companies and worked on many missile sites. He also worked construction in Washington and Alaska for a time. Following his retirement he wintered in Mesa, AZ.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge since 1961 and played on the pool league there. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Senior Citizens, both of Minot and attended Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church.

Survivors: special friend, Angie Johnson, Minot; brothers, Clarence Regstad, Balfour and Lloyd (Magdalen) Regstad, Minot and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Evelyn Regstad and Lucille Parkansky.

Funeral: Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church, Minot.

Visitation: Tuesday from noon until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
