Helen Rasmusson 1912 - 2007 Helen Charlotte Johnson was born July 31, 1912, the daughter of Oscar and Freda (Erlingson) Johnson in Lowland Township of Mountrail County, rural Coulee, ND. She attended school in Donnybrook and later attended the Wahpeton State School of Science where she received her sewing certificate. Helen was united marriage to Tony A. Rasmusson July 18, 1931, in Stanley, ND. They made their home on a farm south of Coulee, ND, where they farmed and raised cattle. In 1971, they sold the farm and moved to Kenmare. Tony passed away February 2, 1998. She had continued to reside in Kenmare since. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Coulee for many years until it closed. In 1991, she joined Bethlehem Lutheran Church of the Greater Kenmare Parish. She was a member of both the Hope Lutheran and Bethlehem Lutheran Church Ladies Aide. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting doilies and afghans for many of her family members. Surviving family includes: sons, Gerald (Artie) Rasmusson, Kenmare, and Delmar (Betty) Rasmusson, Muscoda, WI; daughter, Joanne (Francis) Goettle, Donnybrook, ND; 20 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Wallace Johnson, Minot; numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony; son, Larry Rasmusson; brothers, Alfred, Edward, Hjlmer, Thure Johnson; and sister, Florence Pullen. Funeral: Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at
Bethlehem Lutheran Church, rural Coulee, ND.
