June Quinlen 1926- 2006


June Quinlen, 79, 709 19th St. NW, Minot, ND, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at her home.

She was born on October 16, 1926, in Brillian Township, Ward County, ND, the daughter of Adolph and Jenny (Stantdorf) Aamondt. She was reared and educated in Sawyer, ND. June started working for Alm's in downtown Minot and in 1946; she went to work at B&B Drug, Minot.

June married James W. Quinlen Jr. on October 27, 1946, at First Lutheran Church in Minot. After her marriage, June stayed home to raise there four children.

She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary all of Minot.

Survivors: husband of 59 years, James, Minot; sons, Terry (Peggy) Quinlen, Minot, Gary Quinlen and his special friend LeAnn, Bismarck and Jerry Quinlen, Bismarck, ND; daughter, Cherie (Boyd) Mullinix, Chattanooga, TN; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Lowaine Larson, Minot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Jenny, brothers, Vernon and Otto Ray Aamondt; sister, Lois Jean Heizelman and her father and mother -in-law, James and Tillie Quinlen.

Funeral Service: Friday, June 9, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, Minot.

Visitation: Today, from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
