Ronald Quandt 1940 - 2002 Ronald Quandt, 61, 317 17th Ave SW #2, Minot, died Saturday, May 11, 2002, at a Minot hospital. He was born September 29, 1940, in Minot, ND, the son of Wilmar and Marie (Brien) Quandt. He was reared and educated in Velva and graduated from Velva High School. He attended Minot State College. He entered the United States Marines on August 28, 1958 and was honorably discharged on January 27, 1959. After his discharge he went to work for the Minot Post Office as a letter carrier and later took a medical retirement. He was once married to Mary Quandt. Survivors: step-mother, Shirley Wilson, Glenwood, MN; brother, Jim (Pat) Quandt, Grand Forks; two nieces, Lori Carlson, Grand Forks, ND and Jaime Quandt, Fargo, ND; nephew, Robert Quandt, Bloomington, IL; special friends, Barney and Joella Galusha. His parents preceded him in death. Funeral Service: Monday, May 20, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
