Nora (Hagen) Pugh 1912 - 2008 Nora Hagen was born April 7, 1912, a daughter of Kristian and Johanna (Hovemoen) Hagen on the family farm located in Benson County, ND. She attended rural grade school near Harlow, ND, and graduated from Harlow High School. Nora married Walter T. Pugh of Bottineau, ND, March 12, 1942, in Baudette, MN. They lived in Poplar, MT, for a short time until moving to a farm near Clementson, MN, where they farmed until Walter's death on January 24, 1966. During this time, Nora also worked as a nurses aid at the Baudette Hospital, in Baudette, MN. From this union, a son, Donald, was born. Following her husbands death, she and Donald moved to Roseau, MN, where Nora worked at the Roseau Children's Home for several years. She later moved to the Hagen farm, near Clementson, where she lived until May of 1995, when she and her sister, Agnes Johnson, moved to Velva to be closer to family. In May of 2006, she became a resident of Souris Valley Care Center, Velva, where she had resided until her death. While in Clementson, she was actively involved in the Clementson Lutheran Church, where she served as Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. She was also a member of the church's ladies aid and Bible study group. While in Velva, she was a member of Oak Valley Lutheran Church. Surviving family includes: grandchildren, Joel Pugh, David Pugh, and Christine (David) Jones, great-grandchild, Megan; also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Nora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; son, Donald (who died Feb.14, 1984), and four brothers and four sisters. Funeral: Friday, May 30, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak
