Richele Marie "Shelly" Pruitt 1963 - 2011 Shelly was born on December 2, 1963, in Crookston, Minnesota the daughter of Richard and Carol (Carlson) Schuh. They moved to Minot when Shelly was young and she attended Minot High School. When she finished her schooling, she moved to Williston where she was a waitress at several restaurants. While in Williston, she met Joseph Schroeder who was her companion for many years. During this relationship they had a daughter Nicole. She moved back to Minot where she was a waitress with the Country Kitchen which became Ryan’s Family Dining for about 14 years. Shelly was married to Tom Pruitt from 1993 until 1998 and they had two children, Sarah and Michael. Shelly then bought the Branding Iron Bar in Granville which she owned and operated until moving back to Minot where she worked for the Minot Commission on Aging, as the site manager for the Parker Senior Center congregate meal site. She coordinated volunteers in the food preparation area which provided around 200 meals each day. Shelly loved going to concerts, camping, fishing and playing Bingo. During the flood she volunteered for the Salvation Army and walked dogs for the Human Society. Shelly is survived by her daughters, Nicole (Bryan) Albrecht, San Antonio, TX, and Sarah Pruitt, Minot; son, Michael Pruitt, Norwich; three grandchildren, Mason Schuh, Keegan Sieglock and Sophia Gust; mother, Carol Schuh, Norwich, ND; brother John Schuh, Norwich and sister, Cheryl Amundson, Fort Collins, Colorado. A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Interment: Private Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 p.m. until service time at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Memorials are preferred.
