Morrella D. Pringle 1924 - 2005

Morrella D. Pringle, 80, Minot, longtime registered nurse passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005, in a Minot hospital.

Morrella was born November 24, 1924, in Thorne, ND, the daughter of Alphee and Mary (Langevin) Boucher. She attended Russell Township School and graduated high school from Notre Dame Academy, Willow City, ND.

She furthered her education at St. Francis School of Nursing, St. Joseph's Hospital and Minot State College. While in nursing school she was a member of the United States Cadet Nursing Corp. Her nursing career began in Ogden, Utah, Long Beach, California, and the VA Hospital in Los Angeles, CA.

Morrella married Lloyd Pringle on February 24, 1950, in Westwood Village, CA. Shortly after their marriage, they returned to Minot where she worked at St. Joseph's Hospital holding key positions as head nurse, Nursing Hospital Supervisor, and Associate Nursing Director until she retired in 1989. Following her retirement, she continued to work part-time. Lloyd preceded her in death on November 8, 1982.

She was a long-time member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot. She enjoyed volunteering at the church and caring for several neighbors during their illness. She was a member of the North Dakota and American Nurse's Association.

Morrella loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends.

Morrella is survived by her son, Alan (Marilyn) Pringle, San Bruno, CA; daughters, Debby (Alan) Marshall, Towner, ND, and Carmen (Gary) Samson, Minot; six grandchildren, Keith Pringle, Novata, CA, Amber Marshall, Spearfish, SD, Alyssa Marshall, Grand Forks, ND, and Daniel Marshall, Matthew Samson and Braden Samson, all of Minot; two great-grandchildren, Alaina Pringle, Novato, and Tyson Marshall, Grand Forks; twin sister; Wella McDonnell, North Hills, CA, sister, Bernice (Ray) Sauve, Bemidji, MN; brother, Elmer (Joanne) Boucher, Rolette, ND; in addition to cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, brothers, Marciel, Leonard, Delbert, and twin brothers, Olard and Adelard, Leo, Arthur and Ales; and sister, Cordelia.

Memorial preferred to donors choice.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, March 19, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot

Prayer Service and Recitation of the Holy Rosary: Friday, March 18, 2005, at 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation: Friday, March 18, 2005, from Noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial: Saturday, March 19, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
