Clyde J. Pounds 1928 - 2005 Clyde J. Pounds, 76, 621 8th Ave. NE, Minot, ND, died Thursday, January 27, 2005, at a Minot hospital. Clyde was born on April 6, 1928, the son of Henry and Alice (Walker) Pounds in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot and attended Minot Model High School. He enlisted in the US Navy on April 6, 1946, and served during WWII. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, and was honorably discharged on February 9, 1948. Following his discharge from the Navy, he went to work as an apprentice brick layer for a short time. He then assisted as a hired hand on the Jack Peterson farm, west of Minot. He later worked on the Walter Yuly farm. He also worked at Boise Cascade Homes as a Carpenter. Clyde was once married to Marcella Nigel, together they had two children. He was then married to the love of his life, Shirley (Pierson) Neumiller, with whom they had four children. They later divorced, but remained friends until her death. He had lived in Havre, MT, Billings, MT, and Minot, ND. In August of 2004, he entered Trinity Homes in Minot. He enjoyed going to casino's, playing bingo and cards. He was a wonderful carpenter and always fixed up and remodeled the family home. The second love of his life was his dog, Heidi. Funeral: Monday, January 31, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. Thompson-Larson
