Al "Bo" Possen
1929 - 2005 Al Possen, 75, 1325 27th St. SE, #1003, Minot, died Friday, February 4, 2005, in his home. Alfred Henry "Bo" Possen was born December 3, 1929, in Devils Lake, ND, the son of August and Lillie (Chance) Possen. He was raised and educated at Tokio, ND. On April 18, 1953, Alfred married Jane M. Senger at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Tokio. For the first two and a half years of their marriage they lived and worked on the family farm. In 1956, they moved to Devils Lake, where Al went to work at the cement plant. He also drove taxi and wrecker during the nights and on the weekends. In July of 1957, Al and Jane took a chance and moved to Minot. Al found work at the Curta Mills Feed Plant. In 1958, Al went to work for GTA Feeds as a plant worker and later as a delivery driver until 1966. During this time, he also was employed part-time unloading rail cars for Val Alec and was employed as a meat cutter at Maragos Super Value. In 1966, he went to work for Modern Glass Company as the store manager for Minot. As the manager, he hired Ken Dammen to work for him. Al and Ken decided to start a business of their own in 1972. They named the company Alken Auto Glass. After a long partnership, Al decided to retire in 1986, and sold his half of the business to Kenny. Following their retirement, Al and Jane wintered in Arizona for 14 years. Al was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot. He liked playing cards, especially cribbage. He enjoyed going places with his friends and having coffee with them. Surviving family includes: his loving wife of 51 years, Jane, Minot; sons, Larry (Lori) Possen, Minot, and Terry (Teresa) Possen, Billings, MT; daughter, Barbara Hanson, Minot; five grandchildren: Angel Aguirre, Sarah Hanson, Lacey Possen, Landon Possen and Lucas Mangum; two great-grandchildren: Dylan Seaman, Alyssa Aguirre sister-in-law, Ruth Possen, Minot; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many close friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, August and Lillie Possen, and brothers, Richard and Albert Possen. Funeral: Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at 10:30 a.m.,
