Bill Plante, Jr. • 1970 - 2008 William J. "Bill" Plante, Jr. was born August 1, 1970, a son of William J. Plante, Sr. and Susan Butkovich in Calumet, Michigan. He was raised and educated in Calumet and graduated from Calumet High School in 1988. Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force on September 1, 1988. He married Merry Braun May 3, 1991, in Tawas City, Michigan. They were stationed at Wurt Smith, MI, for a couple of years, before being transferred to Plattsburg, NY. They were later stationed at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. In 2002, they were stationed at the Minot Air Force Base and have resided here since. He was an Air Crew Life Support Craftsman until ill health forced him to take a medical leave of absence in December of 2007. His loving family includes: wife, Merry, Minot; sons,

p .m. at Northern Lights Chapel, Minot Air Force Base, ND. In lieu of flowers, Bill's family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
