Alda Plante • 1909 - 2007

Alda Plante, 97, Minot, died Thursday, October 4, 2007, in ManorCare Health Services, Minot.

Alda Alexandra Alexis Charlebois was born October 12, 1909, in Belcourt, ND, the daughter of Deloise (Langelier) and Alexander Charlebois, a noteable early settler and merchant in Rolette County. A resident of Minot for more than seventy-five years, Mrs. Plante was a former member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, and was a current member Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, the Elks Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Aerie Auxiliary, and several bridge groups.

She is survived by her sons, Warren (Beverly) Plante, Edina, MN, and Charles "Bill" (Cynthia) Plante, Middleburg, VA; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Plante was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles J., a Minot agent for the Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railways, her son, Francis; and her sister, Alma Reedy.

Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, October 8, 2007, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Sunday from noon to 5pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials may be offered to Father Cassedy's Home on the Range at Sentinel Butte, ND.
