Lavina Pfau 1940 - 2009 Lavina was born on April 19, 1940 in Rugby, ND, the daughter of Joseph and Lena (Fettig) Wolfe. She attended Little Flower Elementary School in Rugby before the family moved to Esmond where she attended Esmond High School. On October 1, 1957, in Esmond, ND, she married Gordon Pfau. They then farmed the family farm and she started to work at the Maddock Legion Club in the early 1980's, and in 1984 began to manage the Maddock Legion Club for two years with her husband. In 1986, they moved to Minot, ND. Where she as a bartender for various places, the last one being Sidekicks, where she worked until ill health forced her to retire for years ago. Gordon died on October 30, 1994. She continued to live in Minot. Lavina was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot and the VFW Auxiliary. Lavina loved baseball and was a fanatic Twins fan. Lavina's family would like to take this time to thank everyone who helped during her time of illness and a special thank you to Trinity Hospice for their excellent care. She is survived by her son, Jerry Pfau, Minot; daughter, Jolene (Sam) Lunde, Minot; grandsons, Justin Lunde, Minot and Aaron (Bobbi) Lunde, Bismarck, ND; one great-grandchlild, Kaylee Lunde; brothers, John (Lucille) Wolfe, Harvey, Walter (Irene) Wolfe, Fillmore, ND; sisters, Betty Dosch, Devils Lake, ND and Leona Bates, Spokane, WA; sisters-in-law, Delores Dorscher, Spokane, WA, Elaine Heisler, Devils Lake, ND and Dorothy Duchschere, Fargo, ND. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gordon, son, Jason Pfau, brother, Victor, and sister, Delores Haman. Funeral: Saturday, February 21, at 11 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND Visitation: Friday, February 20, 2009 from noon until 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.
