Margaret (Margie) Peterson
1923 - 2002 Margaret (Margie) Peterson, 78, formerly of Minot, died Saturday, July 20, 2002. in a California nursing home. Margaret was born October 31, 1923, to John and Margaretha (Richau) Christman. She was raised on the family farm north of Beulah, ND and attended area schools. Following her marriage Karl Peterson, they farmed near Sawyer, ND, and then moved to Minot, ND, in 1953. After a lengthy illness, her husband Karl died in 1959. For many years, she cleaned several Minot businesses and was a long time employee of North Hill Bowl Café. She also worked at Trinity Hospital for several years. After retiring in 1984, she moved to Van Nuys, CA. She remained living in that area until the time of her death. Survivors include her two daughters, Alberta Fay Ree, Palmdale, CA, and Alverna Kay Bingham, Howell, MI; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Three of Karl's daughters also survive, Augusta Pratt, Minneapolis, MN, Beverly Hagen, Fresno, CA, and June Votava, Minot, and two other daughters preceded her in death. Her remaining family includes her brother, Ervin Christman, Watertown, MN; half-sister Mary Braun, Billings, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Ella Johannes, Underwood, ND. Her husband, parents, five brothers and four sisters preceded Margaret in death. Funeral Service: Thursday, July 25, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot, ND. Visitation: Friends may sign the register one hour prior to the funeral service.
