Lynn Martin Petersen 1940 - 2003

Lynn Martin Petersen, 62, Kenmare, formerly of Minot, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003, in the Kenmare Baptist Home.

Lynn was born October 22, 1940, in Minot, the son of Lynn V. and Mount Carmel (Wood) Petersen. He was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School.

He moved to Seattle, Washington, where he was employed at Boeing for a number of years. He returned to Minot and worked at the YMCA for a time and then went to work for Garden Valley Upholstery where he worked for a number of years. He was self-employed for a time in the upholstery business and then attended Minot State University for two years. Ill health forced him to retire and in the late 90's he entered the Kenmare Baptist Home, where he since had lived.

Lynn enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors: Children, Holly, Franky and Krissy, and several grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Petersen, Surrey, Daniel (Chaw) Petersen, Minot, Edward (Heather) Petersen, Jamestown, and Tim Petersen, Velva; sister, Janice (Blake) Adam, Groesbeck, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive. He was preceded in death by a son, Trent Petersen, and his parents.

Funeral: Friday (today) February 14, 2003, at 1:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
