Arlys Eileen (Hiller) Pennington, 82, Pearl City, IL, formerly of Granville, ND, died at her winter home in Florence, Arizona on February 1, 2007.

Arlys was born June 2, 1924 in Granville, North Dakota to Harry and Matilda (Everson) Hiller. She lived most of her life in Granville, N.D. She recently moved Pearl City, IL. She married J.F. Pennington in Vancouver, Washington on May 1, 1945.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was an active life member of the First Lutheran Church, Granville, N.D. She was also a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid, the Ladies Aid Quilting group in Granville, N.D. In Arizona, she was a member of the Luther Ann's and attended Christ Lutheran Church in Coolidge, AZ.

She is survived by her husband, J.F., Pearl City, IL; her children Pam (Bart) Macomber, Stockton, IL., and Dennis (Arlyne) Pennington, German Valley, IL., her grandchildren, Troy (Eileen) McCabe of Rockford, IL., Bryn (Ken) Weiland of Crystal Lake, IL., Aaron (Melissa) Pennington of Lena, IL., April Pennington of Whitewater, WI., Quinn (Amy Shulz) McCabe of Marengo, IL., and Jeffery Pennington of Mount Morris, IL., and two great grandchildren Justin and Ashley Pennington, step granddaughters Danielle Macomber and Desi Pena, a sister Ardelle (Stener) Hillerud of Norwich, N.D. and two brothers, Junior (Gladys) Hiller, Granville, N.D. and Homer (Doris) Hiller, Glen Ullin, N.D. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Johnny Hiller, and a sister Alvina Brunner.

Funeral: Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Granville, ND.

Visitation: Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Burial: Granville Cemetery in the spring of 2007.
