Roy Pearson, 69, 109 West Central Ave, Minot, ND died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 in a Minot hospital.

Roy was born on November 26, 1937 in Rutland, ND to Robert T and Ellen (Sebens) Pearson. He attended grade school at Dunbar Township School and graduated from
Rutland High School in 1955.

Roy received his private pilot's license at the age of 18. He lived on the family farm until the late1960's and worked in Bismarck at the North Dakota State Legislature when it was in session over the winter. Roy started a Toastmasters Club in Forman, ND around this
same time and was called upon many times to speak at local events.

After leaving the farm, he was employed by Mobile Home and manufacturing housing
companies and traveled a six state area as their sales representative. Roy lived in the
Dallas-Fort Worth area for a couple of years and then returned to North Dakota in 1988
where he worked for Heggen Equipment in Watford City and then started as a salesman
for Kirby Vacuum Cleaner Company eventually becoming owner of the Kirby Vacuum
Service Center on Central Ave. in Minot. He lived in Minot for 18 years.

His employees at the service center commented on how he was a great guy to work for
and how kind and generous he was.

As a young man he was active in theater productions.

Survivors: Sister, Mary Alice Oyloe, Williston; niece, Mary Denise (Bob) Horab and her
children, Micki (Caleb) Hinricksen and Cody Horab; nephew, David (Kim) Oyloe and
their children, Ashley, Garrett and Alyssa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Funeral will be on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral
Home, Minot.

Visitation will be on Friday from noon until 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until
service time at the funeral home.

Memorials are preferred to Cancer research.
