Kenneth C. Pausig • 1928 - 2007

Kenneth C. Pausig, 78, Kenmare, formerly of Minot, died Saturday, January 20, 2007 in a Minot hospital.

Kenneth was born on August 28, 1928, the son of Henry W. and Charlotte (Bovee) Pausig, in Oshkosh, WI. He was raised in Oshkosh and graduated from high school in Oshkosh in 1947. He attended colleges under a number of football scholarships. He played semi-professional football for the Oshkosh Comets as a fullback, and was All State fullback in WI. He also excelled in all other sports.

On September 8, 1953, Kenneth married Joyce Pauline Wambach in Fargo, ND. They moved to North Dakota and he worked at the State Hospital in Jamestown before moving to Minot. He was employed at St. Joseph Hospital as Director of Activities. Joyce died on December 7, 2003.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and studying nature and doing crafts.

Ken was a member of the St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot, and he sang in the church choir. He was a member of the AARP Local and National Association, and a past member of the National Association of Activity Therapists. He was a member of the Eagle's Aerie and the Elks Lodge. He and his wife, Joyce celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in September of 2003.

He is survived by: Children, Daniel Lee Pausig and his special friend Charlotte Pausig, Minot, Richard Scott (Alice) Pausig, Kenmare, ND, Paul James Pausig and his special friend Roxanna Monson, Minot; five grandchildren, Angie Bruce and special friend, Leon Turner, Minot, Daniel Pausig, Jr. and special friend Lernore, Bismarck, Melissa (Paul) Anderson, Minot, Cody (Jessica) Pausig, Minot and Charles Pausig, Burlington; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Henry Pausig, Jr., Neenah, WI; sister, Delores (Robert) Gibson, Oshkosh, WI; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, parents, Henry and Charlotte, and one grandson, Jeremiah Pausig

Visitation: Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Vigil Prayer Service: Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Chapel, Minot

Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, January 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot

In Lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Alzheimer's Association
