Clara Patterson • 1923 - 2005

Clara Patterson, 82, Minot, ND, died Monday, December 26, 2005, in her daughters' home.

Clara Rosina Mock was born on July 8, 1923, the daughter of Peter and Rosina (Droxel) Mock in Ryder, ND. She was raised and educated in Ryder and attended schools there. She then attended Minot High School.

Clara was married to Joseph W. Patterson on November 18, 1939, in Minot. Following their marriage the couple remained in Minot where they raised their four children. Joseph passed away on September 27, 1989.

She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, the VFW Auxiliary, and Eagles Auxiliary. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving family includes:
daughter, Gloria (Robert) Boschert, Minot; sons, Joseph (Gail) Patterson, Minot; daughter-in-law, Linda Patterson, Minot; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Schiewek, Garrison; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Laverne; son, Henry; one grandchild, brothers, Peter, Otto, and Carl Mock; sisters, Elizabeth Hudson, Bertha Schiewek, Helen Heit and Ida Sabo.

Funeral: Saturday, December 31, 2005, at 10:30 am at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Friday from Noon to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, with a Rosary to follow at 7 p.m.
